ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and precision-measuring and testing instruments Makes basic facilities maintenance repairs and oversees or assists in that process if outsourced.
Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts using hand tools and power tools.
Provides routine inspections and monitoring of most equipment.
Starts devices to test their performance.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
Records and documents according to procedures, assuring that all equipment documentation is up to date and accurate.
Performs data entry into Computer Maintenance Management System.
Prepares unscheduled work orders to support production requirements.
Supports and follows standards for food safety and food quality production reflected in SQF 2000 as well as the regulations of major vendors and governmental agencies such as OSHA, FDA and EPA. Keeps work environment clean, safe and positive.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Requires education generally equivalent to a High School Diploma
Requires a minimum of six years of plant maintenance work experience including product packaging
Requires basic knowledge of electrical controls, mechanical equipment, conveyors and production or facilities related equipment and the ability to troubleshoot and make repairs
Requires the development of a clear understanding of food safety and food quality standards and regulations such as SQF 2000 and environmental safety regulations along with a commitment to continuous improvement
Requires the ability to communicate in English fluently for the effective and clear written and oral communication with others
Requires teamwork ability and a positive attitude
Requires basic mathematical skills to be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide
Requires basic computer skills and data entry skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as: Word, Excel and Outlook
Requires a valid WI driver license in good standing for local travel
Ability to set up communications via laptop with multiple families of Allen Bradley PLC’s including, RS Logix 500, 5000, and Studio, to troubleshoot production related issues. Factory Talk View Studio. very helpful.
Troubleshoot with Multimeter and ability to read electrical and mechanical prints.
Stainless MIG welding.
Ability to work unsupervised and overtime if needed.
