Manufacturing Technician

What you will do
Reporting to the Production Manager and with limited supervision, this position is required to work from drawings, procedures, work instructions, diagrams, parts lists, and verbal instructions to perform a wide variety of electro-mechanical assembly operations. Uses a variety of hand and power tools such as drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers and crimpers on a daily basis.

Responsibilities will include
Follow work instructions.
Assemble and test a variety of electro-mechanical components, assemblies or instruments.
Perform complex documented tests.
Align parts and sub-assemblies and perform a variety of documented checks.
Make visual inspections and follow checklists.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair problems. If unable to resolve, bring them to the attention of the Manufacturing Engineers and/or Supervisors.
Document problems and solutions related to assembly directly into the ERP System.
Check equipment for calibration, expired materials, follows all ESD and other general housekeeping procedures.
Follow material handling guidelines and inventory procedures, including labeling and inventory controls
Able to communicate clearly with Manufacturing and R&D engineers regarding complex technical issues
Able to read and interpret complex drawing and assembly instructions for multiple production lines.
May verify final system completeness and operation to release for final inspection and shipping.
Provide technical leadership to others through assignment of work, review of progress and monitoring of results and instruction.
Support NPI Engineer and R&D with developing work instructions for assembly and final test for prototype builds.
Research, investigate and provide solutions for problems that are hindering the production line.

What you bring along
Five + years of experience in a multi-disciplinary manufacturing environment required.
Detail oriented.
Demonstrated proficiency in English - reading, writing and verbal communication skills.
Able to perform shop arithmetic and measurements.
Proficient in the use of small manual and power tools.
Must possess intermediate computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Certification in basic soldering.
Combination of standing and walking for a minimum of 2.5 hours at a time.
Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
