AECOM is seeking a Systems Administrator in support of NAVAIR efforts in Point Mugu, CA.

This is a contingent position.

The Systems Administrator maintains data files and control procedures for a complex system of networked computers or for a single group of microcomputers linked to a host workstation, or mainframe.

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsible for system security and data integrity.

Assign passwords and monitors use of resources, backs up files as required and responds to management requests for information.

Develop plans for ADP systems from project inception to conclusion.

Defines the problem, and develops system requirements and program specifications, from which programmers prepare systems documentation programs, and tests.

Provide technical guidance to lesser-experienced systems administrators.

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.


Minimum Requirements

    Must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent work experience).

    At least 2-4 years of job-related experience.

    Experience in design, development, testing and evaluation of computer based systems.

    Possess specific experience in the analysis and design of business applications on complex, large-scale systems, including experience in data base management concepts.

    Knowledge of state-of-the-art storage and retrieval methods is required, as well as the ability to formulate specifications for computer programmers to use in coding, testing, debugging of computer software.

    Must be a U.S. citizen.

    Must have an active Secret clearance.
