Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) has an opening for a Facilities Engineer II at the Dulles, Virginia Facility. The position will report to the Facilities Site Lead. The position will perform a wide variety of tasks related to facilities maintenance, repair, design, reconfiguration, and alteration of equipment.
Position will also be liaison and site lead for small sites in the Northern Virginia area.
Oversees the planning, design, reconfiguration, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities
Gathers and reviews data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility
Coordinates with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings
Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition; reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs
Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules
Perform other miscellaneous facilities maintenance work as requested by Facilities leadership
Respond to after-hours emergencies related to Facilities Infrastructure
Perform condition assessments of infrastructure equipment to make recommendations for capital budget planning
Assist maintenance team in diagnosing and finding solutions for Infrastructure systems issues
Required Skills: Minimum 2+ years of applicable experience
Ability to work above ground (often at/on roof levels) and must be willing and able to work off a lift and/or ladder
Proficient with MS Office suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working in a team environment
Proficient with AutoCAD
Must be able to read blueprints, interpret design specifications, and manufacturer’s recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of these components
This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Experience working in and maintaining commercial office buildings
Familiar with the use of a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to generate and complete work orders
Experience working in or with a Facilities maintenance team
Required Education: Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in Facilities, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline 141173
