This is a rare opportunity to work closely alongside our Navy Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) partners to field a number of future strategic systems that the nation urgently needs.

You will be the primary individual responsible for Communications sub-system program execution, cost, schedule, staffing, and communications. Oversee antenna and RF subsystem component design & integration activities. Balance leadership proficiency, integrate antenna and RF component designs, coordinate manufacturing & test activities, and apply knowledge of RF/microwave receivers, transmitters, frequency converters, low noise amplifiers (LNA) and solid-state power amplifiers (SSPA). Manage multi-disciplinary teams, work effectively across multiple organizations. Proficiency generating and updating planning materials (cost, schedule). Lead proposal development, manage cost accounts, interact with customer teams and technical advisory forums, and participate in upper management reviews. Approximately 15% travel.

Basic Qualifications:
Understanding of radome, antenna, RF/microwave flight hardware design, manufacturing, environmental testing (thermal, random vibe, shock, thermal vacuum) for spacecraft/space environments and knowledge of RF materials interactions in extreme aerospace environments. Experience with hands-on hardware design and prototyping, including active and passive circuits, amplifiers, oscillators and modulators/demodulators. Experience in design, characterization and modeling of antenna and RF circuits using s-parameters, circuit integration and test using flight representative mock-ups and bench-top microwave equipment including spectrum and network analyzers. Familiar with model-based systems engineering/systems modeling language (MBSE)/SysML. Knowledge or familiarity with antenna, RF circuit and link/synthesis analysis tools such as CST, FEKO (Computational Electromagnetics Software), ADS (Advanced Design System), HFSS (High Frequency Structure Simulator), AWR Microwave Office, STK (Systems Tool Kit), NEC or similar tool packages. Prior experience of technical oversight of suppliers; excellent presentation, oral, and written skills; and measurement and reporting of Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
Desired Skills:
Previous experience with hypersonics and early-stage aerospace product development
Proficiency conducting laboratory benchtop RF/antenna prototyping, testing & iterative design modifications.
Applicable university graduate work, publications, patents, and active with industry associations
Active government security clearance
