Description:Lead and direct transient staff in the safe operation, maintenance & repair of target support pylons, test pits, and associated systems at the Helendale measurement facility. Will lead and perform mounting and lifts of full scale high value test targets, pylon rotator changes and storage of customer/ Lockheed Martin owned test assets and equipment. Will assist with installation of specialized test equipment and hardware in customer test articles required to perform RF and signature measurements. Will recommend and participate in capital upgrade projects of target pit infrastructure and equipment.
Responsible to identity, schedule, requisition repairs and preventative maintenance of electrical generators, compressors, industrial HVAC, Bridge Cranes, pylon Hoist/tilt systems and other equipment within assigned areas.
Coordinate and escort maintenance and other personnel in assigned areas and use computerized logs or other computer based data collection to report to leadership.
Reports to the Labs and Technical Services site lead or designee.
Must be able to work any shift to support the L&TS mission.
Experienced with repairs and preventative maintenance requirements on specialized hoist/tilt systems and controllers.
Experienced with operating and maintaining antenna control systems, rotators or other electrical equipment.
Experienced in the use of Maximo or other CMMS (computerized maintenance management software) system.
Certified to operate boom lifts, forklifts, work platforms and bridge cranes.
Heavy equipment experience is a plus.
