Description:This position is within the Global Supply Chain Operation (GSCO) organization and reports to the Information Technology (IT) procurement manager supporting the corporation.
The position will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Acquisition of IT requirements that could include Hardware, Telecom, Software and Technical Services that would involve negotiation and preparation of proprietary information agreements, statements of work, terms and conditions and maintenance agreements, evaluation criteria and source selection criteria.
Duties May entail reviewing software license terms focusing in areas of system and application software in various environments. Administer proprietary information agreements, maintenance agreements, evaluation criteria and source selection criteria
-Participating in procurement projects in cross functional teams
-Consulting with LM customers on standards, strategies and potential new agreements
-Providing guidance and direction to LM customers on procurement related issues and GSCO procedures
-Request for proposal/quote development, supplier evaluation, source selection decisions, negotiations, price analysis of received quotes/proposals, terms and conditions review and negotiation
-Ensuring PO folder documentation meets compliance requirements of the LM Commercial Acquisition Procedures (CAP) or LM Acquisition Procedures (LMAP) and other Global Supply Chain and corporate policy and procedures
-Working virtually with business area customers through councils and other interactions to develop requirement documents
-Ongoing administration of PO's to assure accurate invoice processing, management of supplier performance and PO close outs to ensure all costs are booked within each BA fiscal year
-Compiling information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes. Evaluates areas of opportunity to leverage material acquisitions. Tracks data to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
-An understanding of a procurement environment
-An understanding with Information Technology commodities
-An understanding of procurement fundamentals, i.e. determining price reasonableness, experience preparing RFQ’s, analyzing bids, negotiating and subcontract management
-Basic to intermediate level proficiency with MS Office Suite applications
-Ability to effectively manage customer expectations and competing, multiple, time critical projects
-Ability to identify when a solution is needed and execute with limited supervision
-Ability to effectively communicate and interact with customers, peers and leadership at all levels
Demonstrating proficiency with MS Office Suite of software application tools
-Applying effective written and verbal communications skills
-Applying effective customer service skills
-Demonstrating ability to communicate and interface with customers, peers and leadership
-Applying effective teaming skills & problem solving/resolution skills
-Demonstrating ability to manage competing priorities with projects and customers in a time critical environment
Previous procurement experience
-IT commodity knowledge
-Prior experience and knowledge of procurement systems such as SAP and P2P.
