This is a remote field position based out of a home office. The position can be located anywhere throughout the West territory, with preferred locations being Los Angeles, CA; Phoenix, AZ; or Denver, Co or surrounding areas.
Job Summary
Designs and implements programs to maximize sales to Vending operators and/or distributors in assigned geography or market (West). Call on accounts directly or may work with Vending Agency field sales team to deliver sales presentations to key accounts, evaluate selling technique and suggest/demonstrate improvements. Trains, motivates and develops Agency sales personnel. May work with Agency in promoting sales accounts by leveraging sales analyses. Coordinates with other Conagra sales teams on execution of non-commercial compliance and execution of local distributor selling opportunities.
Position Responsibilities
Achieve assigned case and dollar volume targets by total and assigned category mix- (Snack and Frozen Focus)
Focused specifically on the Snack and Frozen Categories with Vending Operators, Hospitality Pantry and Micro-Markets
Drive increased production with Vending agency (BBI)
Day to day management of all assigned distributors and key large leverage operator (LLO) target accounts on both a direct basis and with assigned agencies
Identify and target set list of Vending and Micro-Market accounts for new business
Deliver annual new business goal as assigned
Development of key account (LLO) plans for key Vending and Micro-Market Accounts
Utilize insights and market intelligence to help identify/create market opportunities
Successfully sell in new item offerings to distributors and key Vending operator accounts
Product training
Includes both agency organizations and distributors as deemed appropriate
Distributor Initiatives
Communicate market intelligence to supervisor and Category Management Team
Position Qualifications
Bachelors degree required
2+ years progressive Foodservice/Vending and/or Branded sales experience, to include account management.
Demonstrated sales management experience in the management of multiple product categories, and customers. Demonstrate in-depth of knowledge in sales, trade and marketing concepts and methods.
Strong base in development and maintenance of customer relations and promotions management.
Demonstrated capability of effectively interpreting and using multiple information sources to develop strategy and tactics.
Proficiency in PC tools and applications, MS Office Suite,
Ability to establish and maintain strong internal and external working relationships.
Strong interpersonal, directing and coaching skills.
Experience in trade spending management; proven fiscal responsibility.
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
