A technical specialist who has the ability to become intimately familiar with requirements for establishing and maintaining an ISO class 7 and or class 8 cleanroom.

The individual will perform all tasks identified below as well provide information, instructions and real-time training for all personnel entering Raytheon class 7 or class 8 cleanrooms.


Consumables:

Ensure plenty of:

  • Smocks (Organized by size in smock bin)
  • HEL Bunny Suits
  • Bouffant Caps
  • Facemasks
  • Beard Covers
  • Shoe Covers
  • Heel Straps
  • Gloves
  • Tacky Mats
Ensure garmenting requirements are complied with:
  • No Shorts, Skirts, Dresses etc. where skin is exposed
  • Clean shoes using automatic shoe cleaner
  • Put on shoe covers / ESD heel straps (Blue)
  • Put on safety glasses, facemask, bouffant cap, beard cover (if beard)
  • If using white shoe covers, put on permanent ESD heel straps
  • Test ESD heel straps (Must pass and record before entering cleanroom)
  • Put on frock / coveralls
  • Put on gloves
Ensure DE gowning processes and sequence are followed:
  • Frock off first, hang on hanger or place in dirty bin
  • Discard all disposables (Coveralls, caps, masks, beard covers)
  • Remove shoe covers / heel straps
  • Ensure actions are completed before bringing items into cleanroom:
  • Remove all cardboard from item to be carried into cleanroom. Data packs that accompany product in brown folders; remove and discard brown folder, print all documents on cleanroom paper and place all in clean static bag.
  • Remove item from Pelican case (if no risk to item)
  • Remove all non-cleanroom paper (print critical information on cleanroom paper if needed)
  • Wipe down carts, bread racks, tools, tool boxes, using De-Trash cart, Water or IPA and approved wipes.
  • All items must be visually clean
Ensure prohibited items are not allowed in anteroom / cleanroom:
  • No personal clothing / items stored in frock area
  • Food / Drink
  • Cardboard
  • Regular Paper
  • Wood (Pallets, boxes, etc.)
  • Wait 15 minutes before returning to cleanroom after smoking
  • No perfume / cologne
  • Performs the recurring tasks below:
  • Remove soiled tacky mats at all locations as required, replace when needed
  • Check facilities cleaning log daily
  • Replenish cleaning supplies (DI water, solvents and wipers)
  • Put soiled frocks in dirty bin - Weekly
  • Check EMIT Heel Strap test data log - Weekly
  • Check Omega Relative Humidity / Temperature data (VBS) - Weekly
  • Plan / Coordinate / Execute Semi-Annual deep clean
  • Plan / Coordinate / Execute Annual Cleanroom Recertification

Required Skills:

  • 4 years of work experience, preferably in a cleanroom environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Computer literate to access work instructions, complete data entry and online training
  • Aptitude for troubleshooting and solving problems
  • Superior communication skills
  • Technicians are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including smocks, gloves, face guards and hairnets

Desired Skills:

  • Experience working in an engineering environment and reading engineering prints
  • Understanding of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and FOD reduction/prevention methods
  • Experience handling electro static discharge (ESD) sensitive items

Required Education:

  • High School Degree or Equivalent

Desired Education:

  • Associates Degree
