Position Title: Associate Project Manager, Engineering

Position Description

KBR is seeking an Associate Project Manager, Engineering. Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Project Manager plans, budgets, organizes, coordinates and manages capital projects for the owner.
  • Must have a working knowledge of P&IDs, design practices, and construction (piping and mechanical knowledge is critical). Projects involve pulp and paper industrial systems and equipment, water/stock/steam piping systems, instruments and process control systems and electrical infrastructure.
  • Project Manager will interact closely with the EPC firm, owner engineering, maintenance and operations management.
  • Position requires an individual capable of proactively solving and implementing solutions, following through with details, offering sound recommendations, while remaining open-minded to team opinions.
  • Individual must have excellent communication skills and possess a forward looking perspective (keeping the end in mind; i.e., cost, schedule, safety, design and constructability), while driving results and decisions.
  • Candidate must be committed to Owner and KBR workplace safety policies and principles, leading by example.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or Construction Management, required; EPC experience, strongly preferred
  • Proven experience managing industrial capital projects ranging from $300K - $5M
  • Track record of managing capital projects, demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving engineering problems efficiently and economically.
  • Project engineering/management experience in an industrial environment, required; pulp and paper experience, preferred.
  • Candidate must be proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and have a working knowledge of MS-Project or other scheduling software
