You will work within a dynamic, high performing team of System Administrators that are focused on designing, implementing and performing O&M for the Multi-Level Security (MLS) Super Computer Facility.
You will be part of the Operations and Maintenance team that is a distributed Infrastructure team of 6-8 individuals responsible for the successful design, integration and support of multiple data centers utilizing High Performance Computer (HPC) systems (computation and storage), software, scheduling, and research applications in order to meet the Super Computing needs of the customer research and development community of projects.
The System Administrator responsibilities are primarily focused on the installation, configuration and O&M of the HPC utilizing Red Hat (RHEL 6.5 and 7.x) OS, leveraging and enabling the SELinux policies, with additional tasking in Trusted Solaris 11 technical areas.
Knowledge and familiarity with SAN Storage Hardware and System configuration is desired.
You should be comfortable working in a team environment where daily tasking will provide support to a large number of different platforms which range from enterprise servers to small/midsize servers, as well as working with the customer to achieve mission goals.
You will be part of the team that is responsible for system installations, upgrades, configurations, software installation, troubleshooting, user interface and support, operations and maintenance (O&M) etc.
Knowledge of various protocols such as DNS, SMTP, NFS, FTP, Telnet, ssh, etc. protocols and system network tuning and configuration is required.
A Top Secret security clearance with an investigation w/in the past 5 years is required to start.

Prior Experience working in one or more of the following:
Operations and Maintenance Environment for program or customer
System Administrative Role supporting operating systems or Networks or Storage
Familiar with Linux or Solaris Operating Systems
Security+ Certified or ability to acquire certification within 2 months
Prior System Administrator Experience supporting the different levels of Systems Operations and Maintenance
RedHat Linux administration, configuration and maintenance experience
SELinux Experience a Plus or willingness to learn SELinux
Prior Experience as a Linux OS System Administrator Solaris 11TX Administration and configuration
Network & firewall configuration familiarity
Familiar with Security Controls Such as ICD503, Certification Test Plans, etc.
