Description:The selected candidate will assist with the implementation and improvement of the International Trade Compliance Program within the International Trade Compliance Office (ITCO) at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company.

This individual must be a highly-motivated self-starter who is able to effectively interface with program stakeholders, sub-teams within ITCO and other groups throughout Lockheed Martin Corporation.

Expected tasks will include:

Assist in the implementation and continuous improvement of the company's International Trade Compliance and Training Program;

Perform root cause analyses and collaboratively develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence of export compliance matters;

Maintain risk register and take appropriate mitigation actions;

Maintain company command media related to export controls;

Coordinate with other LMC business areas to standardize export control and compliance measures where possible;

Improve process integrity related to export control through a focus on Lean/Six Sigma and the Plan, Do, Check, Adjust (PDCA) Model for operational excellence; and

Perform Empowered Official (EO) reviews for license and agreement applications under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

MUST BE A US CITIZEN - This position is located in a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree.

Minimum 4 years experience in creating, implementing, and/or improving international trade compliance programs in the Aerospace and Defense sector.

Experience with the ITAR, Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Regulations, and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) Regulations.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement solutions to mitigate compliance risk.

Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to interface effectively across levels.

Experience performing EO reviews.

Experience with U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) export-import processes.
