Raytheon Global Business Services (GBS) has an opening for a Facilities Planner II to join our Facilities Engineering, Planning and Project Management team to support occupancy and space planning within the northeast region.

The Facilities Planner II is responsible for maintaining accurate spatial allocation information within assigned facilities as well developing internal Raytheon consumer requirements into executable space plans that align with Company space and utilization policies.

Job Description:

  • Performs scheduled field verifications for occupancy and architectural conditions within assigned location(s)
  • Supports employee move & relocation process at assigned location(s)
  • Updates architectural and occupancy information within CAD based master drawings and computer aided facility management (CAFM) database for assigned location(s)
  • Captures and matures customer space requests while upholding Company guidelines
  • Develops space notional space plans for office, conference, and lab space changes and renovations and works with partner organizations (Facilities Engineering, IT) to develop project cost and schedule
  • Coordinates estimates from external suppliers for systems furniture, ancillary furniture, as well as other office elements and executes procurement process
  • Supports bottoms up headcount forecasting process through documentation of internal consumer headcount projections in monthly office utilization reports
  • Travel between NH, MA and RI sites.
Required Skills:
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in space and occupancy planning, architecture, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with developing executable occupancy and space plans to meet business objectives
  • Background in systems furniture design and construct
  • Excellent communicator who is comfortable presenting metrics and plans to department and functional leaders
  • Experience managing customer expectations
  • Ability to work/handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Proficient in AutoCAD 2017 or newer
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite – Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel to various Raytheon locations in the northeast from Rhode Island to New Hampshire
  • This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Desired Skills:
  • Previous experience as a space/occupancy planner in a large, matrixed organization
  • Experience with office furniture systems and specifications
  • Experience with computer aided facility management tool FM: Interact 8.5 or newer
  • Project management certification (PMI or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with IFMA and ANSI/BOMA standards
  • Familiarity with DoD Closed Area construction guidelines
  • Proficiency with MS Project and resource based schedules
Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management or related discipline
