The Technical Writer/Editor will focus on product development (Systems Engineering), Logistics and Training. The candidate in this position will research, write and edit technical data for use in documents delivered to Government customers.

  • Works with internal and external customers ensuring technical documents are complete and accurate.
  • Assist with establishing style guidelines for text and illustrations.
  • Works with minimal supervision

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Gather, collect, record, track and verify data and information from multiple sources
  • Work with engineering team members to generate Modification Work Order (MWO) based on existing Technical Data Packages(TDP)
  • Technical manual development
  • Compile, review, and analyze data
  • Maintain configuration management of documentation in both hard copy and electronic formats.
  • Communicate with vendors and customers
  • Produce, revise, and format Government source documents to include proposals, regulations, test procedures, statistical, and technical reports.



  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or 8 years of experience. Specific contract requirements will prevail.
  • Experience developing Modification Work Orders (MWOs) preferably for rotary wing aircraft.
  • 3-5 year experience developing or modifying Technical Manuals, to include trouble shooting work packages, Parts and Provisioning Lists (PPL), Repair Part and Special Tools Lists (RPSTL), and -10 operations manuals.
  • Reading skills and command of the English language.
  • Clearance: Secret
