Description:Subject matter expert for aircraft ground operations policy (DCMAi 8210.1). Interface with DCMA and Service customers, Federal, State and Local regulators and Senior Program/Functional Management to ensure Aeronautics compliance in aircraft ground operations and applicable manufacturing and safety operations. Primary focus is ensuring safe and effective aircraft ground operations through strategic planning and the effective development, implementation and oversight of related policy/procedures. Primary interface with DCMA Aircraft Operations and Service Officials above the site level regarding development and interpretation of Ground Operations and Safety requirements. Assists QGRA Aero GOPS Lead in planning and executing formal and informal customer engagements. Reviews proposed updates to 8210.1 related processes as well as corrective action for compliance/alignment with Company policy objectives. Assists programs as needed with GOP development, interpretation and waiver requests. Reviews contracts during the development and pre award phase to ensure the programs ability to comply with or to modify requirements as needed. Evaluate Ground Operations risks at current and potential future sites and develop plans to mitigate identified risks. This position will be primarily focused to LM Sustainment operations.
- Experience with aircraft ground operations policy development and oversight
- 10 years of experience in aircraft operations and/or maintenance
- Experience with Corrective Action processes
- Experience in developing surveillance plans and conducting
- DCMA GFR/GGR Course (previous DCMA GFR, GGFR or GGR)
- 3 years of experience in active oversight or implementation of the requirements of DCMAI 8210.1 and the Ground and Flight Risk clause
- Ability to implement strategy and meet performance
- Knowledge, understanding and experience investigating and responding to customer issued formal Corrective Action Requests
