Description:Derco Aerospace, Inc., an industry-leading aerospace distributor of spares, components, and services, is seeking a self-motivated US Government buyer. The position may occasionally involve some domestic travel and will require relocation to Baltimore, Md.
Specific responsibilities include sourcing and purchasing material in support of our US Government requirements. Will work as part of a team to determine requirements and find sources, place purchase orders and track the purchase orders through receipt, analyze trends, approve payment and maintain necessary records.This person will work closely with other departments, as required, to understand requirements to best support the US Government requirements.

Education Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent work experience is required.
2 years of supply chain work experience in aerospace, military, or defense is required.
Minimum 1 year US Government procurement experience.
Experience purchasing to FAR/DFAR requirements.
A college degree or progress toward a college degree is preferred.
Experience with planning, product sourcing and research, negotiation of prices and terms of delivery with suppliers, solicitation of quotes, creating and entering purchase orders. Expediting experience and successful supplier relationship building is preferred.
Software skills in Access and Tableau
Ability to work multiple projects simultaneously and have the flexibility to move seamlessly between projects.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
