We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Automated Test Engineer to join our team in Reston, VA, to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

In this position you will:

  • Work within a project team on an application modernization project to help transform existing application, written in an older/legacy language to modern Microservices Java based architecture
  • Support implementation of test automation strategy to include planning, developing, executing and maintaining automated Selenium and API test scripts for functional and regression testing while coordinating with the Scrum teams and DevOps groups to integrate automated scripts with Jenkins pipeline
  • Lead the test execution for new feature development by participating in requirements and design reviews (understanding and capturing business needs), and incorporating business logic into test strategies and scenarios
  • Mentor team members and peers in software testing best practices and ensuring that the team delivers high quality software
  • Manage test infrastructure, including software labs, example datasets, and regression test suites
  • Collaborate with software engineers to ensure that internal quality processes are followed and producing/improving verification and validation plans, test reports, and other documentation that complies with contractual and best practice requirements
  • Establish and maintain automated API and Selenium test scripts for end-to-end testing. Sometimes manual testing will be conducted
  • Must have a solid understanding or experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) or Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Specialized Experience w/ automated testing suite (Selenium WebDriver preferred)
  • Development background with extensive technical software testing experience (preferred)
  • Experience supporting Selenium or SoapUI integration with Jenkins (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Docker and container based deployment is a plus.
  • Supported Security Code Scanning tools (a plus)

Education / Certifications / Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 8 years of related experience or equivalent
  • DOD 8570 Certified (Security +)
  • Minimum Active DoD Secret Clearance required!
