Job Description:
Raytheon’s Seapower Capabilities Systems (SCS) Business Area is seeking a highly motivated individual who is interested in joining the Program Planning & Scheduling Department in a position as Sr. Program Planner I. The candidate will work and partner with various functions including finance, engineering, contracts, and the program management office to ensure that the program is performed within contractual agreed-upon parameters.

Responsibilities will include supporting development, maintenance, and analysis of the program Master Phasing Schedule, Integrated Master Plan, and Integrated Master Schedule; and supporting the planning, scheduling, and cost estimating tasks. This position will be responsible for providing support to Earned Value Management (EVM) compliance, IMS CDRL deliveries, Baseline Change Requests (BCRs) and more.

This position will be located in Portsmouth, RI and is contingent on awards of LCS VDS and MK48 programs
Required Skills:

  • 4+ years of professional experience in Program Planning, Program management and/or Program Planning & Scheduling
  • Microsoft Project experience including Microsoft Project Server
  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process
  • Supporting programs and contracts within a Government Contracting environment
  • Demonstrated experience using MS Office suite products (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access)
Desired Skills:
  • 6+ years of professional experience in Program Planning & Scheduling
  • Performing Critical Path analysis and Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA)
  • Familiarity with any of the following: Achieving Process Excellence (APEX) SAP/R3, Microframe Project Manager (MPM) or similar EVMS tools and software applications such as Oracle ERP, Deltek Cobra and Deltek MPM Connect
  • Experience in assisting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in planning, scheduling and cost estimating tasks
  • Knowledge of Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Raytheon Six Sigma (R6S) Specialist or similar certification
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver customer focused solutions
  • PMP Certification
  • Knowledge of Oracle Primavera project management
Required Education (including Major):
  • BS/BA degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or related field of study
