As a Service Desk Technician for KBR, you will be responsible for providing help desk support and resolve problems. You will troubleshoot Windows 7 desktop issues in both virtual and physical environments. Must ensure all service Incidents and Requests are answered promptly and effectively analyzed, documented, communicated, escalated and closed. Monitor and respond promptly to Incident and Request tickets using CA Unicenter Ticketing system. Be able to setup, configure, test, support, and troubleshoot workstations/thin clients/zero clients, software and peripheral equipment. Your dedication to customer service and solid work ethic will result in support that meet the customer’s needs and ultimately, delivery of services that enable personnel to accomplish the mission at hand.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or a related field and 2 years experience is preferred. Must be able to meet 8570 certification requirements.
Must be able to perform root-cause analysis of all incidents. Be experienced in supporting/troubleshooting VMware and Citrix virtual environments and applications. A strong knowledge with Active Directory Users and Computers, NTFS, and Windows share permissions. You must have an Active Security Clearance, A , and one of the following: MS 70-685, 70-680, 6293, or MS Server 2008/2012. Must have good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers. Must maintain the skill set required to do the job and maintain awareness of trends within the technology industry. Must be customer service oriented and have a strong work ethic.
