Sentinel is the primary air defense radar for the US Army and the Life Cycle Contractor Support (LCCS) contract provides support for the Sentinel radar. IIS is currently seeking a Radar Maintenance & Site Lead to support the Sentinel Radar in one of five OCONUS locations as part of the LCCS mission. This position is part of a 9-person Raytheon team (consisting of Site Lead, Maintainers, and Operators) that will support the operational mission of two Sentinel radars at a single OCONUS location. An LCCS Sentinel Maintenance & Site Lead is responsible for ensuring two (2) Sentinel radars are fully functional and operating 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. This includes sharing the responsibility for Sentinel Radar System operation, coordinating radar and associated equipment maintenance, assisting with first and second level diagnostics, coordinating preventative maintenance of the Sentinel radar, maintaining records on equipment, and leading a Raytheon operator and maintainer team. The Radar Maintenance & Site Lead will be the primary contact between the OCONUS Raytheon Sentinel team and IIS Section and Program Management.
Should have directly related experience in Air Defense Tactical Operations at the Battery or higher level. Experience with Operational and Tactical Procedures Associated with Air Defense Systems are a plus. Able to provide in depth system knowledge and field experience related to the theory of operation and troubleshooting skills required to resolve Sentinel system electronic and mechanical problems. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day execution of the radar operational mission.
This position is in one of several international locations that will be determined per direction of the LCCS program to meet US Army mission operating requirements. The locations may be based in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates (UAE), or Bahrain.
Fullerton, CA WILL NOT be the permanent home location, only the initial on-boarding will take place in Fullerton.
This is an unaccompanied assignment. This position is contingent on the candidate’s ability to meet all deployment needs at all times to include passing a physical if required for that region as well as deployment through CONUS Replacement Center (CRC).
