Sentinel is the primary air defense radar for the US Army and the Life Cycle Contractor Support (LCCS) contract provides support for the Sentinel radar. IIS is currently seeking Radar Operators to support the Sentinel Radar in one of five OCONUS locations as part of the LCCS mission. This position is part of a 9-person Raytheon team (consisting of Site Lead, Maintainers, and Operators) that will support the operational mission of two Sentinel radars at a single OCONUS location. An LCCS Sentinel Operator is responsible for Sentinel Radar System operation, runs software diagnostic tests, provides basic preventative maintenance of the Sentinel radar, keeps performance and maintenance records on equipment, and supports radar emplacement/march order.
Should have directly related experience in Air Defense Tactical Operations at the Battery or higher level. Experience with Operational and Tactical Procedures Associated with Air Defense Systems are a plus. Able to provide in depth system knowledge and field experience related to the theory of operation to resolve Sentinel operational problems. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day execution of the radar operational mission as well as demonstrate the ability to perform first level diagnostic, fault isolation, cleanup and maintenance of all associated equipment.
This position is in one of several international locations that will be determined per direction of the LCCS program to meet US Army mission operating requirements. The locations may be based in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates (UAE), or Bahrain.
Fullerton, CA WILL NOT be the permanent home location, only the initial on-boarding will take place in Fullerton.
This is an unaccompanied assignment. This position is contingent on the candidate’s ability to meet all deployment needs at all times to include passing a physical if required for that region as well as deployment through CONUS Replacement Center (CRC).
