AECOM is seeking a HVAC Mechanic – Energy Recovery Operations. This position works
Monday thru Friday 6 :00am to 2:30 pm.
Operate, maintain and repair incinerator, waste heat boilers and auxiliary devices.
Clean and inspect baghouse and wet ash conveyor components.
Prepare incinerators, waste heat boilers and baghouse interiors for internal (cold) and external (operating) inspections;
Perform preventive maintenance, equipment lubrication, and daily inspections in accordance with the PM program;
Institute corrective action and/or inform his supervisor on any deficiencies found in the course of performing the job;
Direct maintenance personnel as assigned by Chief Engineer.
Perform other job related work as required.
Must possess Class I stationery engineer license, DC 3rd steam boiler engineer license or equivalent.
Must possess universal CFC certification.
Able to read and interpret blueprints.
Working knowledge of piping systems
Ability to comprehend written and oral instructions.
A willingness to work scheduled rotational shifts, including days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends, as required.
Four years experience in commercial/industrial operations that includes two (2) years or more experience in maintenance and repair on commercial-industrial building equipment to include, but not limited to: boilers, steam heaters, pumps, conveyors, hydraulics.
Must be a U.S. Citizen, have obtained and able to maintain Top Secret Security Clearance.
No relocation provided.
Working knowledge of HVAC systems.
Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of incinerator basics and theory.
Ability to write correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Have basic computer skills.
Formalized training in stationery engineering or related crafts.
