Nuclear Waste Partnership, an LLC of AECOM, is seeking a
Quality Assurance Technician to be based in our Carlsbad, New Mexico location.
The successful candidate will perform complex visual inspections and dimensional measurements and evaluate to acceptance criteria. Perform a variety of complex nondestructive inspections in accordance with procedures and evaluate results. Conduct/participate in assessment activities. Perform overviews to approved schedules documenting such activities. Perform receipt inspections for vendor supplied items obtained through the supply chain process. May conduct source inspections for site procured products as necessary.
This is a bargaining unit position.
High school graduate or GED is required.
Two (2) years technical training courses in inspection techniques or equivalent is required.
Six (6) years of QA Inspection experience is required.
Documentation from previous employer or a training or education institution that validates weld inspection training, experience and dimensioning skills is required.
Ability to meet required vision requirements.
Maintain Nondestructive Examination qualification for required methods at a minimum of Level II. If certifications are not current, an established time frame will be set for certifications to be obtained.
Due to the nature of work, candidates must be US Citizens.
QA Inspection experience in a nuclear setting is preferred.
Previous WIPP experience is a plus.
