Job Summary

AECOM is seeking a Forklift Operator to be based in our Kansas City, MO location.

Responsible for overall supply operations at work site level including receiving, storage, requisitioning, issue and accountability of all items required in support of work site maintenance effort. Supervised by Site Manager or site Supply Technician.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Data input, reads work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. .

  • May be assigned to work alone or in team to maintain warehouse operations including shipping/receiving and processing orders.

  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and shelves by hand or through use of MHE.

  • Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.

  • Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet and monthly inventory as required.

  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

  • Loads truck for Industrial Truck Operator.

  • Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.

  • Lifts objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.

  • Will drive light truck as needed and perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Procedure Compliance - Each employee must read, understand and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures and policies pertaining to his/her job.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident.

  2. Minimum six months general experience.

  3. Minimum six months specific experience which will demonstrate knowledge required to perform requirements of position.

  4. High school diploma or GED required.

  5. Must have warehouse experience.

  6. May substitute experience for education at the rate of one year of specific experience for one year of high school.

  7. Must be able to obtain license to use any equipment for which a current license is not held within 30 days of selection.

  8. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
