Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Electrical Construction Inspector for immediate employment in the New York, New York office.

Please note this project is site based near PATH stations in Jersey City, NJ.

  • Relies on extensive experience and independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

  • Responsible for setting own project deadlines.

  • Provides on the job training to new employees.

  • Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties.

  • Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.

  • Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning.

  • Tracks quality assurance progress.

  • Provides input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers.

Minimum Requirements

  • HS plus six years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • 10+ years of relating experience

  • Strong construction inspection experience with an emphasis on rail and tunnel work

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required

  • Proven expertise inspecting primarily in an electrical nature

  • Candidate will need to be available to work nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree is preferred, but not mandatory

  • Electrical Construction Inspection in rail and tunnel environments
