**This particular position can be staffed in Annapolis Junction, MD only.

As a Senior Engineer you will help the Customer by performing tasks to modernize programs, systems and processes. Tasks consist of gathering and documenting system requirements and processes; planning and documenting required system updates; and planning, optimizing and standardizing data flows.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years engineering experience.
  • Experience with NiagraFiles, data transport services, data processing systems, and cross domain solutions.
  • XML experience.
  • Experience with Streaming Object Transport Format (SOTF), Binary Metadata Encoded (BME) formats, and other standard agency data formats.
  • Strong LINUX background.
  • Within the last 7 years, a minimum of 5 years' experience in four (4) of these specializations:
    • Signal Analysis
    • Modern Telecommunication Systems and Networks
    • Telephony Switching Systems
    • Communication Systems
    • Cellular/Personal Communication Systems
    • TDM/PCM Multiplexing, Modulation. Switching Systems
    • Packet Switching Systems
    • System Engineering practices and methods
    • Operating Systems
    • Advanced networking and telecommunication protocols
  • Within the last 5 years, a minimum of 3 years development, integration, test, and installation experience; to include generating system/component specifications, recommending solutions, preparing test plans and procedures, and conducting tests (stand-alone, DT&E, OAT&E).
  • Within the last 5 years, a minimum of 3 years’ experience with the functionality and inter-processing of packet-based and circuit-based hardware and software solutions – to include configuring, changing, and optimizing solutions.
  • Current TS/SCI with Full Scope Poly
  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance as of day one of employment.

Desired Skills
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership position providing technical supervision to other engineering personnel; solving varied technical/scientific problems; and generating and reviewing designs for technical accuracy, completeness and appropriateness in light of objectives, budget, and schedule.

Required Education:
BS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), or related field.
