Job Summary

The Class I Warehouse Lead oversees warehouse duties such as Class I stock control, inventory management, material sorting/ identification/ retrograde/ warehousing, and/or Mobile Redistribution Team (MRT) functions in support of the task order.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Lead, schedule, and instruct warehouse personnel to perform proper work techniques and procedures in support of Statement of Work requirements
  • Oversee preparation of material control and accounting input for data processing, and review output documents
  • Inspect and evaluate Class I inventory management activities
  • Oversee distribution and filing of records for established customer accounts
  • Implement and manage effective customer service program
  • Prepare reports on materials, supplies, equipment availability, storage space, and relocation of material
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and directives pertaining to financial inventory, accounting, and stock funding
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of asset management, warehouse processes, and distribution administration
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills and ability to handle personnel and performance issues as they arise
  • Skill and knowledge in analyzing and evaluating logistics management information system reports such as Standard Army Retail Supply System (SARSS), Subsistence Total Order and Receipt Electronic System (STORES), and Defense Transportation System reports, quality control, and/or traffic management functions
  • Knowledgeable in First in First Out (FIFO) functions
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Additional knowledge/skills may be required by contract or assignment

Experience & Education

  • Minimum four (4) years of warehouse, cargo documentation, and/or logistical movement control experience
  • Prefer experience handling and managing government property and using handheld scanners to perform transactions within a warehouse environment
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred
  • Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment

Physical Requirements/Working Environment

  • Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds
  • Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions
