Job Summary

This is a functional role that covers two main areas of work on a nuclear decommissioning contract.

  1. Supports the business development team during mini-competitions to:
  • Setup the work breakdown structure for the team of Influential Partners and subcontractors

  • Establish a fully integrated NEC3 compliant programme and associated activity schedules.

  1. Assumes the role of Project Planner at the point of delivery, leading on the scheduling and reporting of all project activities and responding to any change or variation requests.

In preparation of the above two areas of work, the individual will be required to familiarise themselves with the AECOM systems, processes and procedures by completing short assignments to other client sites in Cumbria and Berkshire.

The Framework has a projected spend of £400m over the next 7 years with the next mini-competition expected to be estimated at approximately £30m.

The role will require some travel to the North of Scotland, however we expect a large portion of this work can be completed remotely.

Minimum Requirements

Skills required

-Multi-disciplinary construction expertise, backed up by extensive demonstrable relevant experience

-Possesses strong computer skills with a developing knowledge of company cornerstone applications

-Possesses the ability to participate in project execution reviews and audits

-Ability to manage target cost and fixed price contracts

-Strong communication (written and verbal)

-Collaboration and interpersonal skills

-Proven track record of successful delivery of projects between £20-40m.

Industry experience Extensive directly relatable experience on nuclear new build projects

-Extensive experience in establishing and managing nuclear project delivery functional support organisations

-Supply chain management

-Quality Management

-Health and Safety Management

Years’ experience

-5 years’ experience in a schedule position

-3 years’ experience on a Nuclear Licenced site

Security clearance

Due to the nature of the role and the client, it is important that all applications have resided in the UK for at least 5 years. We need all candidates to ideally be Security Cleared (SC) or have no issue in obtaining SC. A prerequisite for SC is that the applicant has lived in the UK for at least the last 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline, construction management or construction engineering or demonstrated experience.
