GDIT is currently seeking a Proposal Management Director in Falls Church, VA to join our team! You will lead a team of more than 50 Proposal Management professionals including Proposal Manager Leads and Proposal Managers, and will coordinate with Division Liaisons to resource proposals across the Enterprise.  You will provide oversight and guidance to assigned staff; develop best practices, tools and templates in their areas of expertise; deliver training to staff; and ensure all personnel are highly effective in their roles.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate with Division Liaisons to effectively and efficiently resource proposals.
  • Develop and maintain all processes, training documentation, tools and templates within their functional area.
  • Provide oversight, guidance, and training to all staff and ensure high performing personnel across their functional area.
  • May serve as Color Review Lead or reviewer, as needed, and provide guidance on integrating feedback in proposal response to achieve a winning blue proposal
  • Train all personnel in proposal management processes, best practices tools, and templates.
  • Provide mentoring, training and feedback on proposal strategy and overall proposal development.
  • Monitor personnel performance and provides guidance and feedback.
  • Maintain skills assessment inventory of staff and perform career development activities across their staffs.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of related experience managing proposal efforts in a government contracting environment.
  • Proposal management experience mostly with opportunities of total contract value of at least 250 million dollars.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing proposals for multi-million dollar opportunities including all proposal volumes (technical, solution, cost, and others).
  • Demonstrated experience developing and applying proposal management artifacts including but not limited to the following: proposal schedule, outline, compliance matrix, kick-off, storyboards, mockups, color review in-briefs and de-briefs, and others.
  • Demonstrated experience applying the rigor of formal proposal processes in the development of proposals.
  • Possess strong time management, organization and prioritization skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and good judgement in decision-making.
  • Advanced MS Word and MS Office skills.
  • Clearable US Citizen

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree
  • APMP certification and/or PMP certification
  • Security Clearance of Secret or higher
  • APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professional) certification
