Senior Network Engineer - responsible for engineering, testing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE).  The engineer will be responsible for the engineering and support of the Network Access Control (NAC) architecture for wired and wireless networks. The position responsibilities also include maintaining documentation to reflect the current operating environments.


Responsible for the design and development of voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks.


  • Plans network and configures systems to user environments.
  • Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.
  • Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
  • May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users.
  • May perform network administration duties.
  • May serve as technical team or task leader.
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.
  • Participates in special projects as required.



  • 8-10 years of directly related experience in network analysis and design.
  • At least eight years of network experience with at least 3 years working with Network Access Control 802.1x authentication and authorization, with a focus on using Cisco Identity Services.


Unique Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing and supporting Network Access Control for wired and wireless networks with Cisco Identity Service Engine and 802.1x.
  • Experience troubleshooting wireless and wired network communications issues specifically relating to 802.1x authentication/authorization.
  • Reading and analyzing sniffer trace files to determine the root cause of problems and failures.
  • Experience implementing and supporting wireless networks with Cisco Wireless LAN controllers, Access Points, Prime Infrastructure and Mobility Services engine.
  • Experience with network design, implementation and support across multiple platforms including Cisco and Juniper switches and routers including creating and maintaining Juniper filters and Cisco ACLs.
  • Experience with 802.1x, Radius, TACACS, Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE)
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and general network management.
  • Knowledge of DNS and DHCP operations, support, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of F5 LTMs and F5 Big-IP DNS devices a plus
