MECHANICAL ENGINEER - (86) - Military veterans preferred

EPS Mission Support Services Division is seeking applicants to fill a Mechanical Engineer position, located in Panama City Beach, Florida. This position is in support of our recently awarded Seaport-e Task Order supporting the Intelligent Sensing Operational Support (ISOS) effort. This position may require CONUS travel in support of fielding, testing, and development of R&D systems. Travel is approximately 10% of the assignment.

Requirements
Experience with the following is required;

â?ªMinimum of 5 years of experience in the field of mechanical design with a demonstrated hands-on background in modeling, prototype work, design and analysis
â?ªReal world experience with Naval systems is preferred.
â?ªApplying fluids and power systems engineering principles (i.e., heat transfer, mechanical design and failure mechanisms, etc.) to planning and executing technical projects
â?ªHands-on experience and capabilities in design, development, and application of unique equipment systems and subsystems requiring the application of advanced scientific and engineering theories, concepts, and principles
â?ªWorking through technical problems that arise during project execution
â?ªHands-on experience in planning, design, development, constructing, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.
â?ªBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field preferred
â?ªExperience working with drawing standards including tolerances and detailed drawings
â?ªBasic skills in computer aided engineering (CAE) software such as Solid works, AutoCAD, MATLAB, etc
â?ªBasic analytical and problem solving skills for the design and testing of prototype(s) through product release
â?ªBasic interpersonal skills to interact with customers, team members, vendors and contractors
â?ªBasic organization and time management skills
â?ªAbility to use common power and hand tools and electrical and tolerance measuring devices and equipment for the development of prototypes
â?ªApplicants selected for this position will require an active DoD Secret clearance
