Performs a variety of general administrative tasks in support of the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Director (OD) in a government agency, to include all political appointees.

  1. Manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the office, including but not limited to answering incoming phone calls, faxing correspondence, maintaining incoming and outgoing mail, maintaining on-hand supplies for OD and overseeing the Director’s non-sensitive/non-personnel files.
  2. Maintain and coordinates Director’s schedules, briefing materials and binders, agenda, itineraries, reminders and provide logistical support during meetings (external/internal)
  3. Coordinates all travel logistics including transportation and lodging arrangements; to include passports, clearance and parking; completes travel authorizations and vouchers for OD.
  4. Escort all visitors, foreign & domestic.
  5. Maintain Foreign National System.
  6. Participates in special projects as required.

This position is based in Washington, DC and requires a Public Trust clearance or the ability to obtain one. Teleworking is not possible during the week. 


  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated effective organizational skills
  • Detail oriented and flexible
  • Strong user of MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of Foreign National System, or willingness to learn

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
