Raytheon is seeking a motivated Infrastructure Engineer to perform system administration, configuration and testing of a COTS product for a VoIP intercom system that is part of a command and control weapon system. The role also includes the Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) of an existing intercom system. The candidate should be knowledgeable of Windows 10 and Red Hat Linux operating systems administration as well as virtual machine management and configuration. The candidate will work collaboratively with other engineering disciplines through all phases of development, test and delivery.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Apply communication, analytic and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate and resolve issues.

  • Recommend integration solutions combining software and hardware systems

  • Perform hardware computing device and cable plant installation

  • Provide maintenance oversight of a development lab

  • Excel as part of a small test team exercising feature level capability and coordination of customer selloff, and supporting the update process for operations manuals, work instructions, tools, and scripts.

  • Contribute to a team of systems engineers in accomplishment of engineering tasks in an iterative development environment.

  • Attend technical interchange meetings with team members and multiple disciplines.

  • Provide status on assigned tasks.

Candidates with a current TS/SCI security clearance or higher are eligible for a $20,000 sign on bonus if the clearance is confirmed and the candidate is hired by Raytheon

Required Skills:

  • Current and Active TS/SCI Security Clearance

  • Understanding of systems Information Assurance (IA) policies

  • Solid understanding of system testing methodologies

  • Understanding and experience in an (Scrum) Agile Engineering environment

  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications

  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Must work well in a team environment and independently.

  • Must exhibit good time management skills and independent decision making capability.

  • Willingness and availability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice approximately 25% of the time.

  • Security+ or CISSP active certification

Desired Skills:

  • Experience supporting Intelligence and/or DoD customers

  • Understanding of Assessment and Authorization (ICD 503) processes as they apply to communication systems

  • Experience with Network architecture

  • Experience with process development and deployment

Required Education (including Major):

  • Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 4 years of related work experience
