Role and Responsibilities

The Signal Monitoring Technician will support reliability, sustainability, and interoperability testing at various test sites. Signal Monitoring functions include, but are not limited to, the operation of precision electronic measuring equipment, the performance of self-checks of internal components, initial pre-calibration of test equipment prior to test operation, perform simultaneous frequency monitoring of multiple power levels on multiple frequencies, and monitor background levels to ensure frequency accuracy. Candidate will document, manually and electronically, observations and information obtained during the performance of testing operations.



Two (2) years working knowledge and experience with electronics and equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Radio Channel emulators, digital receivers…etc.) in a testing environment. At least 1 year experience in Electromagnetic Environment (EME) testing. Test equipment set up and tear down to support specific tests, and the ability to interpret test plans. Driver’s license required. Must work well with others in a dynamically structured team environment. May require extended work hours, exposure to outdoors, travel, heavy lifting (30-50 Lbs), working on ladder, in man-lift baskets, and around noisy equipment in a hazardous and stressful or environmentally harsh environment.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of MS Office tools- word and excel is expected. Experience working in or with DOD or other government agencies. Advanced level Electromagnetic Environment (EME) certification or comparable certifications.
