We are seeking an SR Logistics Analyst that is able to work independently – please read below!
Analyzes standard contractual documents, technical data, customer usage data, customer maintenance practices, customer operation characteristics, and related reports for assigned contracts to determine spares provisioning or maintenance/repair requirements.
Develops logistics plans in order to enhance distribution of goods and supplies.
Aids in the development of configuration and change management policies based on program requirements.
Follows established policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure quality and cost control.
Conducts distribution and network studies, monitors inventory and analyzes requirements in order to develop strategies to achieve desired delivery times.
In conjunction with the Configuration Manager ensures the asset inventory database is current.
Provides guidance and work leadership to less experienced staff members.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participates in special projects as required.
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, processes, and applicable regulations involved in supporting logistics operations.
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant technology and equipment.
Assists with financial analysis of material budget and tracking execution against contract.
Coordinates procurement activities for specific task order.
May be require to assist desktop support, networks, systems and information assurance teams.
Is part of a team that supports customers located throughout Southwest Asia (SWA). Will be required to support customer requirements locally and at remote sites.
Specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment.
5+ years of related experience in logistics, traffic and/or supply chain management.
Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance.
Must obtain ITIL V3, or 04, Foundation within six months of hire.
Experience with procurement of IT hardware and software.
Experience with comparing prices, specifications and delivery. dates in order to determine the best bid among potential vendors
Experience auditing quote packages.
Experience working with vendors and cross functional teams.
Experience resolving equipment shipping issues.
Ability to maintain and track delivery order dates.
Experience working with deployed personnel preferred.
This position is supporting a fluid military missions. You may be required to temporarily travel to different operating locations within the CENTCOM AOR. Travel may be via commercial or military transport. Modes of transport include, but are not limited to; car, truck, armored vehicle, fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
While on travel in the CENTCOM AOR the candidate may be housed with deployed military personnel in military provided accommodation. Housing options include, but are not limited to; open bay tents and multi-personnel containerized housing units “CHUs”.
Additional specific certifications may be required, depending on job assignment. The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
