Job Summary
AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Preconstruction Manager for immediate employment for a project in Seattle, WA. AECOM is proud to provide our employees with exciting, challenging projects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Oversees the construction management estimating work in the preparation of large and complex project estimates which will be used for the control of budgets, bid preparation, and/or other purposes.
Determines the use of resources to meet schedules and goals.
Works on projects of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors including an understanding of current business trends.
Acts as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
Provides estimates for each project phase: conceptual, schematic design, design development and construction documents
Prepares detailed cost estimates via industry accepted methods such as RS Means for small and large projects. Estimates shall be provided in UNIFORMAT II and CSI format
Ability to concentrate in one or more of the estimating disciplines including architecture, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, civil and structural
Oversee consultants and contractors work to ensure compliance with applicable design criteria and standards
Manage selection and procurement of design and construction teams
Manages more complex projects that tend to be larger in scope and dollar, thereby increasing the potential for larger change orders and consequences of error.
May act independently as the IE representative with consulting firms and ensures that the final product reflects the original scope and budget requirements.
Manages projects which have greater complexity than a Program Manager III
Increasing responsibility for leadership of direct reports.
Minimum Requirements
8+ years' experience
Must have an understanding of construction means, methods, and sequences
Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, Requests-for-Proposals and contracts
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of related experience
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
Ability to generate project construction schedules
Knowledge of On-Screen-Takeoff a plus
Ability to use CAD software
