Job Description: The RMS business development team is a seeking a talented, investigative data analyst to support our growth oriented team. The ideal candidate will rigorously question assumptions, determine how to most convincingly display data and help lead change management and growth efforts. This position is responsible for performing data analytics to support Business Development and Product Lines in making informed decisions with regards to forecasting and planning. The lead will help the respective BD team in defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and help establish action oriented methods of presenting the data. This will be a lead data analyst position, supplying valuable information such as win rates, assessment of growth plans, progress to goals, and more, to Business Development and RMS Business Leaders. In addition to providing data, this position will assist the Data Strategy Manager with operational tasks including the administration of NBI and Enterprise Campaign dollars post allocation, updating progress to annual BD goals. This lead will work in collaboration with a council of data analyst to share methodologies and results in order to refine best practices across the organization.

Creatively develops new formats for displaying data in actionable ways using resources such as Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, Looker, R, Python, etc.
Continuous learner – has a passion for learning about data management topics (big data, machine learning, etc.)
Performs analysis using structured and unstructured data sources
Works across cross-functional teams to deliver timely information to key stakeholders
Provide monthly, quarterly and annual metrics to support RMS growth plans and provide the analytics to supports achievement of those plans
Provide metrics and analysis that support New Business Investment (NBI) allocation and administration
Will develop a partnership and collaborate with members of the RMS SLT, RMS Program Council, RMS BDE’s, and other members of the RMS leadership team.
Minimum of 3 years relevant experience specifically in data analysis
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Self-starter able to work without direct supervision
Experience with web-based CRM (Customer Relationship Management) applications or equivalent systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Must be proficient in pivot table and other Excel analysis methods
Intermediate understanding of SQL and database architecture principals
Familiar with visualization and/or analytics software (e.g. Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, Looker, R, Python, etc.)
Comfortable with public speaking and able to lead classroom training sessions
A critical thinker and change leader with ability to solve complex, time-sensitive problems – a strategic thinker
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Superior ethical standards beyond reproach
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, information systems or related field, MBA preferred
