Job Description

The Event Coordinator will focus primarily on supporting scheduling and coordinating corporate events with government and corporate customers. This person will report to the Conference Center manager and will assist in all aspects of running an unclassified and secure meetings, conferences and events.  This person will also serve as a backup in the event that the Conference Center is not in the office.  The coordinator will perform all aspects of conference and special events management, planning and oversight.

Responsibilities include:

  • Marketing efforts - showcases Business Area highlights and integrates new GDIT branding in the Conference Center
  • Helps develop and refine Conference Center Communications Plan
  • Assists with Business Development/Chargeback model
  • Runs the Conference Center Sharepoint site and calendar
    • Requires collaboration with teammates and customer service skills
    • Sends and analyzes customer surveys and feedback forms
  • Assists with Conference Center technology refresh projects
  • Coordinates with the client to determine specific goals and objectives in planning conferences.
  • Oversees all conference activities on-site, ensuring adequate staff support for each
  • Contacts attendees and sends all necessary conference materials
  • Prepares regular status reports
  • Ensures employee compliance with training requirements 
  • Participates in special projects as required




Requires  5+ years of relevant experience
