The Whole Life Engineering Directorate (WLED) is made up of several disciplines whose main objectives include; Influencing systems early in their life cycle to assure effective operation, reliability, maintainability and economical ownership by the customer/end user; providing affordable, best in class, life cycle sustainment services after system deployment.

As a International Fixed Site Execution Lead, you’ll be responsible for Planning, Staffing and Executing the Fielding, Installation, Systems Integration, Testing and Demonstrations of material kits to support International Tactical Sites. More specifically, you’ll provide support to the Deployment, Fielding and Sustainment (DFS) Integrated Product Teams and will regularly interact with the Integrated Product Team (IPT), Cross Business Teams (CBT) and Program Management Office (PMO) leadership on execution of contract scope for material fielding capabilities.

General Responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and revise the Material Fielding Plan (MFP)
  • Coordinate Activities with clear communication to DFS, IPT, PMO and USG
  • Schedule, monitor and update Facility / Site construction and occupancy dates
  • Identify Site Kit Installation Supplies and Support Equipment
  • Prepare and present metrics, status, and logistics systems status at internal management reviews
  • Coordinate development and delivery of tactical site documentation
  • Develop and administer staffing plans
  • Recruit and hire international site team candidates
  • Identify team skills and experience gaps, ensure training requirements are complete
  • Manage international team deployment gates – MOU’s VISA, Relocations

This position requires 20-40% international travel.

Required Skills:
  • 6+ years of experience in logistics support, machine maintenance or manufacturing
  • Experience with equipment or machinery maintenance
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance (DoD) in the first 6 months

Desired Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team, inspiring confidence in others
  • Knowledge and application of logistics principles
  • Self-initiative, strong written and oral communication skills and team player
  • International travel required - to include potential deployment for 6 – 9 months
  • Experience in the deployment planning of sustainment resources for OCONUS fielded systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Patriot System (General Military Systems) product knowledge and/or experience
  • Experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking (EVMS) to cost and schedule
  • Experience in planning/executing field system maintenance and transportation of associated support resources to global locations
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with time-critical requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to influence through teaming and collaboration
  • Elevated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, general proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree. 8 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree
