CCA is a private nonprofit 501c3 agency which was founded in 1974. The Halfway House operates both residential and non-residential programs in Mahoning County. There are four residential facilities at CCA totaling 217 beds.
CCA also has several non- residential programs including an 8 week day reporting program serving both misdemeanor and felony offenders, a house arrest / electronic monitoring program which utilizes GPS monitoring equipment and a community service / litter patrol program in which over 10,000 hours of community service are provided annually.

* To provide resources to local, state and federal correctional systems for alternative sentencing programs.

Degree in Human Services or a minimum of two years prior experience in a social service area. Ability to relate with people, resolve problems effectively, and organize activities.


I. Resident/Monitoring

1. Assure resident movement follows agency procedure.
2. Assure appointments, wake-ups, and transportation scheduling are organized and met.
3. Monitor residents and facility for contraband, conducting searches as necessary and as per agency
4. Conduct urinalysis as required.
5. Conduct hourly �¢??eye check�¢?? of all residents and log accordingly.
6. Record in substantial and comprehensive fashion, all shift activities in the unit log.
7. Enforce program rules and regulations, and follow appropriate reporting procedures.

II. Facility Operations

1. Understand and adhere to procedural requirements of unit activities.
2. Conduct scheduled inspections of facility, prepare and monitor resident house assignments, and
requisition necessary repairs.
3. Monitor and order supply inventories as required, maintain invoice procedures.
4. Maintain inventory of first aid and fire equipment.
5. Dispense/receive linens for residents.
6. Maintain overall sanitation of facility.
7. Oversee meal preparation and clean-up.
8. Maintain overall building security.
9. Monitor and manage facility as required assuring for lights out, visitation rules, and that activity areas
are appropriately met.
10. Conduct emergency drills as required.

III. Program/Activities

1. Be aware of resident treatment plans and needs, and reinforce individual goals.
2. Participate in staff meetings, review necessary resident information, and adequately staff at shift
change relevant information.
3. Respond to emergency situations and provide crisis intervention when needed.
4. Maintain a unit atmosphere conducive to agency philosophy and humane living conditions.
5. Respond to resident needs and conflicts in a preventative fashion so as to reduce volatile situations.

IV. General

1. Support, cooperate and work with other agency staff in meeting the needs of the program.
2. Provide assistance as required by supervisory staff.
3. Adhere to the Policy and Procedure of the agency.
4. Reports directly to the supervisor on duty.
5. Perform other tasks as may be assigned.
