Description:Lockheed Martin Global Financial Services (GFS) is responsible for providing Accounts Payable/Banking/Cash Application/Tax/Compliance support for various Lockheed Martin (LM) business area partners.

This position is located in Lakeland, Florida.

This position will include varied duties such as:

•Assisting in the resolution and reconciliation of Accounts Payable refund checks and lockbox deposits

•Performing bank statement/payment analysis to identify proper payment application

•Regular customer interactions with both our internal procurement and accounting departments, as well as the external supplier community.

This is a challenging internship and the ideal candidate is a quick learner with a superior work ethic. The candidate must be able provide timely and accurate work products in order support team deadlines. An ability to work effectively both independently and in a supportive, diverse team environment is expected. The employee will have the opportunity to gain experience in various AP/AR systems and processes.
Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated previous experience performing Accounting, Finance or Economics-related tasks (experience can be obtained through college coursework/projects, internships or on the job)
Desired Skills:
-Demonstrated experience performing analytical and evaluation tasks
-Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and performing multiple tasks
-Intermediate level proficiency using Microsoft Excel
-Intermediate level proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook etc.)
-Ability to maintain required financial controls and to support audits as necessary
-Ability to comprehend and perform to defined procedures and processes
-Ability to demonstrate accountability and professionalism in all interactions
-Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
-Effective customer service and team building skills
