Sr. Manager, Strategic Planner (contingency hire)

Position is contingent upon receipt of NTP (Notice to Proceed).

â?¢Senior Planner â?? The leader and primary point of contact for the KBR planning team. Guides the team in support of the military decision making process and production of Annex F and other deliverables to the Operations Plan. Leads development of the reception, staging, and onward movement approach. Develops basing solutions; conducts overall risk assessments. Performs location reconnaissance when permitted. Develops contractor aviation support as needed. Directs the team in production of the regional books. Participates in designated exercises to validate planning decisions.

â?¢Produce country books; books are prepared by Operations Managers. Planner provides oversight and coordinates/briefs final product with AFSB and customer.

â?¢The Planner works with the AFSB, GCC staff or other designated. Government planners to analyze and prepare Support Plans identifying LOGCAP gaps and how to mitigate the gaps using LOGCAP capabilities.

â?¢Participates in Government exercises to â??activateâ?? the support Plan developed for the event, provide actions for the Master Events Scenario List, participate and write after action reviews, incorporate lessons realized from the exercise into Support Plan revisions.

Planner apply their knowledge of command organization and logistical objectives, general staff functions, relationships and procedures in the planning and coordinating for all LOGCAP logistical actions in support of the development and execution of intricate and complex requirements. Planner will provide advice and assistance to Combatant Command (COCOM) staff and/or tenant commands in logistic matters pertaining to exercise plans, strategies and logistical readiness matters. Assists the USG with coordinating day to day activities and exercises. Prepares and coordinates documents and information papers and presents briefings on current logistics support of exercises in the theater of operations. Attends meetings, conferences, and planning groups. Receive, coordinate, and respond to a variety of logistic oriented requirements. May require some travel for CONUS and OCOUNUS locations. Must possess a SECRET clearance.

Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 12+ years of experience, 3+ of which should be in management.
