Job Description: The successful candidate will manage the REDCAT program within the Directed Energy portfolio in Albuquerque, NM. The PM must be able to drive technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems related to the design, integration and testing of this directed energy product. The program manager is responsible for program leadership and execution of all phases, from program start up through program close out. Activities include direct management and oversight of the technical, financial, and schedule aspects of assigned programs. The position requires extensive interaction with program customers as well as building and maintaining effective relationships with internal business leaders, including RMS and AMS functional leadership teams. working to develop and implement organizational policies and procedures. In addition, the position includes added complexity in their ability to influence, lead, and drive results in a multi-faceted, multi-functional organization. Will use cross-organization relationships to leverage organizational creativity to solve business problems. An excellent communicator with good presentation and writing skills who drives communication both horizontally and vertically in the organization.Demonstrated ability to effectively influence others to achieve goals in a matrix organization. It includes Profit and Loss responsibility and requires a strong focus on customer mission success.Experience with earned value management techniques, Risk and Opportunities management, metrics, and PMX processes and procedures are strongly desired.


  • Bachelor’s degree; preferably in STEM related discipline
  • 10+ years DoD experience in Program Management, and/or appropriate functional experience in directly supporting program objectives managing cost, schedule and technical performance
  • Existing Secret clearance required with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
  • Prior program management/leadership or large scale IPT lead experience in complex systems and programs
  • Demonstrated experience managing development contracts
  • Experience leading diverse teams of engineers, technicians, and scientists across broad areas of expertise
  • Self-starter requiring minimal direction, able to drive daily workflow based upon contract and customer requirements, WBS, and IMS/CMS
  • Experience with program development lifecycle
  • Familiarity or experience in international defense contract performance is desired
  • Strong customer interface, teaming, and communication skills
  • Occasional travel may be required

Desired Skills:
  • Multi-functional stretch assignment(s) with broad perspectives of cross-functional responsibilities
  • Proposal development experience
  • EVMS Certification Level 1 or Level 2
  • Program Management Certification Level 4
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with leaders and employees.
  • Experience working in multiple functional areas

Desired Education:
  • Advanced degrees preferred
