Raytheon Company Space and Airborne Systems business unit is seeking a highly motivated, Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) with Digital Design experience to lead teams developing Radar and Electro-Optical control and processing electronics for defense applications. The position is located in Aurora Colorado.
The Electro-Optical Space Electronics Department is seeking an IPTL to manage a group of multi-discipline engineers and subcontractors tasked with developing the next-generation of electronics for space applications. The IPTL is responsible for establishing the technical baseline for their specific domain(s) of expertise (Digital Electronics, Analog/Power Electronics, EO/IR Sensor Processing, FPGAs) and administers budgets, schedules, and performance standards. The IPTL is responsible for achieving schedule milestones on-time, within their allotted budget while managing their staff and objectives. The IPTL acts independently, guided by company policies, procedures, objectives and Raytheon's Code of Ethics. The IPTL applies advanced principals, theories, concepts and techniques to solve technical issues within their domain(s) of expertise and assists the team in overcoming issues that impede program progress, allowing core staff to concentrate on their Work Products. The IPTL leads briefings and technical meetings for internal and external stakeholders and customers. This position also requires the generation of financial Estimate at Complete (EAC) work products, supporting program Gate reviews, and facilitating independent peer reviews of all deliverable Work Products. The successful candidate will also participate in new business / capture activities including proposals, preparing bids, and developing basis of estimates. In addition this position may be asked to lead electronics related Independent Research and Development (IRAD) efforts.
Additionally, the successful candidate needs to possess electronics design experience, including the application of rigorous and systematic design processes, while adhering to design checklists to ensure total design compliance and utilizing WCCA to quantitatively predict the circuit's functional performance. At Raytheon SAS, circuit design is synonymous with WCCA, which allows for improved performance predictions, better risk assessments, and more accurate margins on key performance metrics.
