Job Description:

The Senior Software IPTL will direct the development aspects for a family of programs in the F15 Software product line which includes design, coding completion and integration of the OFP. The lead will work with the System Engineering team very closely to ensure the software meets the performance, participate in the performance analysis, critical trade studies and prototype waveforms to ensure system compliance. The Senior Software IPTL not only addresses the software design, but needs to ensure all aspect of the engineering design and development, including coordination and providing leadership oversight of the System and Software design, is meeting the customer requirements and mission capability objectives. Additionally, this individual needs to have a vision on how to execute a program on an extremely aggressive schedule and budget. The Senior Software IPTL will establish the IMS, Build Plan, and also manage the budget and schedule utilizing EVMS.

The Senior Software IPTL influences the technical performance of all Software Engineering activities in the S3 Radar Programs for Gen3 modes product family (GPP3 based), including F15 Family programs (F15 Qatar, F15 Suite 9, and F15E RMP Domestic and future International), F/A 18 Family programs (F/A 18 Domestic – SSS/T/MHT, Strike Accelerator FNC, Speed To Fleet group of modes, Data Link, F/A 18 Kuwait), and future RACR programs and all engineering decisions impacting OFP, radar capabilities development, integration, verification, and work products delivery while ensuring the product meets all technical specifications, operational requirements and customer expectations.

Required Skills:

  • Experience managing program utilizing EVMS
  • Requires DoD Secret with the ability to obtain SAP / SAR clearance
  • Real time embedded development experience
  • Technical leadership experience
  • Familiarity with AESA radar systems
  • Signal Processing and Data Processing experience
  • Experience programming in C and Ada

Desired Skills:
  • Experience with the APG-79 and APG-82 tactical radar systems
  • Experience with Integration of Real-time and distributed systems
Required Education (including Major):
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or Mathematics
