Description:Develops, administers and implements air quality program requirements in accordance with company, Federal, State and local requirements and best practices.
Develops and submits permits, plans and reports to regulatory agencies.
Performs hazardous material reviews and database administration as necessary to support the air quality requirements.
Works independently and as a team member to deliver results.
Reviews new construction projects, plant processes, and permit changes to prevent adverse impacts, develop risk mitigation plans and environmental control treatment strategies.
Interprets legislation and regulations to determine impacts on company operations, and publishes compliance strategies and requirements.
Interacts with federal, state, and local regulators to resolve compliance issues; establishes permit requirements and assists in EPA, state and local regulatory audits.
Represents company in government and industry rule-making activities. Occasional work required outside of normal working hours.
MUST BE A US CITIZEN - This position requires special access and a security clearance.
Experience interpreting air quality and chemical regulatory and permit requirements; interacting and negotiating with external agencies and internal customers.
Experience managing chemical usage and recordkeeping databases.
Experience improving processes and procedures.
Experience with the entire Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with California air quality laws and regulations; Title V permits; and ISO14001 Management Systems.
