Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer/ Project Manager in our Chantilly, VA office. This position will work on exciting projects related to stormwater management design, drainage design, best management practices, watershed planning studies, MS4 permit compliance and the like. Projects are local, statewide and federal. Position will require use of cutting edge techniques and designs that will impact future projects regionally and globally.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Works on exciting projects related to stormwater management design, drainage design, best management practices, watershed planning studies, MS4 permit compliance and the like.

  • Projects are local, statewide and federal, and local travel required.

  • Position will require use of cutting edge techniques and designs that will impact future projects regionally and globally.

  • Professionally presents themselves as a positive face of the company to current and potential clients.

  • Interacts with clients, understands their needs, add converses with regulators on their behalf.

  • Perform hydraulic analysis, drainage and grading design, specification writing, prepare design documents and report preparation.

  • Direct a project team in the design of civil works projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • 6 years of Engineering experience

  • 2 years of Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10 years of Engineering experience

  • Professional Engineer license (PE)

  • Experience with stormwater management design, drainage design, best management practices, watershed planning studies, MS4 permit compliance and the like

  • Experience with local travel

  • Experience with cutting edge techniques and designs that will impact future projects regionally and globally

  • Experience as a positive face of the company to current and potential clients

  • Experience interacting with clients, understanding their needs, and adding converses with regulators on their behalf

  • Experience performing hydraulic analysis, drainage and grading design, specification writing, prepare design documents and report preparation.

  • Experience directing a project team in the design of civil works projects.
