Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) has an opening for a Contracts Negotiator supporting the Airborne Early Warning and Reconnaissance Systems (AWERS) Mission Area on the Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar (ASARS) -2B Development Program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the following activities as part of a dynamic and highly functioning Contracts team:
Participate in and/or support proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications.
Management of contracts throughout entire life cycle (proposal, negotiation, execution, closeout)
Support and interface with internal functional organizations (Finance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Pricing) in the daily administration and proposal process
Prepare, submit and negotiate proposals; perform TINA sweeps, prepare confirmation of negotiations
Compile and analyze data, maintain historical information, prepare reports, track contract milestones and deliverables, and perform other duties as required to ensure contract compliance.
Ensure transparency of highlights, issues, and concerns for internal stakeholders.
Be responsible for compliance within the areas of contract set-up, deliverables, invoice tracking, cash collection, internal/external reporting and audits and closeouts
Develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships to drive results
4 years of relevant work experience in Government contract administration with various contract types (CPAF, CPIF, CPFF, FFP, T&M)
Exposure to the FAR, DFARS, ITAR, TINA requirements, terms and conditions
Strong communicator both orally and in writing; robust analytical skills
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork and trust
Must be able to review/analyze RFP requirements and raise/present possible terms and conditions risks, develop fully compliant proposals and reconcile contractual document
Solid organizational skills, Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required.
Ability to obtain DoD Clearances
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will require the ability to access US only data systems.
U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Secret Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.
Contract administration experience with the US Department of Defense (DoD)
Ability to research and resolve compliance issues and formulate recommendations to management and the program
BA/BS in Business, Finance, Law or related field
