Assist with providing oversight, policy, and procedure development, and related functions in compliance with RMF (JSIG), ICD 503, DAAPM and NISPOM. As part of the Cyber Security Team, the position is responsible for assisting in implementing and operating security requirements both administrative and technical on classified systems.


  • Conduct weekly technical and non-technical system audits utilizing tools such as SCAP, Splunk, NESSUS
  • Coordinate handling, destruction, receipt and transferring of security related documentation
  • Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and procedures as outlined in the security authorization package
  • Ensure all IS security-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized Individuals
  • Perform system analytics and network enumeration
  • Partake in technical and security training (e.g., operating system, networking, security management) relative to assigned duties
  • Ensure all users have the requisite security clearances, authorization, need-to-know, and are aware of their security responsibilities before granting access to the IS
  • Conduct periodic reviews of information systems to ensure compliance with the security authorization package
  • Report all security-related incidents to the ISSM
  • Coordinate any changes or modifications to hardware, software or firmware of a system to the ISSM
  • Document networks and systems security-related issues, handle event notification and escalation as needed
  • Perform incident response as directed by the ISSM
  • Formally notify the ISSM when changes occur that might affect system authorization
  • Conduct Test and Evaluation of servers and workstations security settings
  • Perform software and hardware request analysis to ensure compliance with RMF (JSIG) standards
  • Perform security education/training
  • Review sanitation/destruction procedures and artifacts prior to hardware disposition
Required Skills:
  • Must possess the interpersonal skills necessary to deal courteously and effectively with a diverse group of individuals
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a dynamic environment, with demanding deadlines while ensuring internal/external customer needs are met
  • Must possess excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills
  • Experience with one or more of the following Operating Systems (Windows/Linux/Cisco IOS)
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of multitasking and efficiently managing your time in a dynamic environment while requiring minimal levels of supervision
  • Current DoD 8570 certification IAM Level I (Security+ CE, CAP, GSLC, etc.) or attainable within 6 months of employment
  • U.S. Citizenship Status is Required as this position needs an Active Secret U.S. Security Clearance as of Day One of employment with a background investigation performed within the last five years.
  • U.S. Citizenship Status is Required as this position will require the ability to Access US Only Data Systems.
Desired Skills:
  • Final in-scope Top Secret Clearance with a background investigation performed within the last five years
  • Experience developing System Security Plans (SSPs) and all supporting certification and accreditation documentation
  • Experience with RMF (JSIG), ICD 503, DAAPM and NISPOM Security Information System related security requirements
  • Experience implementing Government security requirements to include technical computer/network system auditing
  • Knowledge of Assured File Transfer (AFT) processes and tools, such as Purifile or Document Detective
  • Linux experience
  • Experience with various types of Special Test Equipment (STE) and Lab environments
  • Awareness of COMSEC equipment to include handling keying material and troubleshooting encryption devices
  • Willing to travel on company business
Required Education:
  • Master’s Degree with 4 years of secure information system experience or
  • BS Degree in a Technology related field with 4 years of directly related experience or
  • AS Degree with 8 years of related experience
