This is a temporary position of undetermined length.
System administrator for DFARS controls on systems across SAS environments at all site locations. Duties include, but are not limited to desktop and workstation installation and configuration; hard disk cloning, hardware relocation; user accounts management; software and license configuration; VM support; Windows server management (sata backup and restoration; storage management (logical and physical); and file and folder access management. The candidate will also be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related Windows infrastructure as applicable to the DFARS project and mitigation. Position will entail travel to multiple SAS locations across the Domestic US.
·Entry-level experience in Microsoft Windows Desktops (e.g. WindowsXP, 7 & 10),Windows Servers (e.g. Windows Server 2008 and 2012) and/or Linux/Unix operating system administration
·Understanding of group policies and setting system security contrls
·Working knowledge of operating system concepts and implementations
·Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services support
·Symantec Backup Exec/Netbackup or understanding of server backup concepts
·Understanding of network services and protocol suites throughout the OSI model (e.g. DHCP, DNS, SSH, etc.)
·Strong written and verbal communication skills
·Strong customer interaction skills with users of all levels
·Knowledge with VMware Workstation, ESXi, and vCenter support and administration
·Knowledge with HP server hardware support and diagnosis
·Knowledge with HP storage hardware support and diagnosis
·Knowledge of NAS and/or SAN
·ITIL Foundations v3
Minimum Education Required:
AA or AS in Info Tech. BS preferred
MCP and/or MCSA
